Rainbow snakes have lots of parts on their bodies.  Rainbow snakes have black with three red stripes on their back.  They have little tails.  The adult rainbow snake has a yellow head.  They usually grow to 36-48 inches long.  Males are smaller than females.

Rainbow snakes eat different kinds of foods.  Rainbow snakes eat ells and also prey on small frogs, tadpoles, and salamanders.  Rainbow snakes swallow with their head first.  They also eat their prey alive.

Rainbow snakes do lots of things.  Rainbow snakes usually spend their time in sandy soil and under the water.  Females lay their eggs in July.  They can dig holes  in mud or sand.  Rainbow snakes lay like over 20 eggs.  Some big females may lay over 50 eggs.

Rainbow  snakes live in different places.  Rainbow snakes live in blackwater like swamp and marshes. They live in sandy places in the coastal plains.  Rainbow snakes are seen in the Southern Eastern united states.

Rainbow snakes don’t have a lot of predators.  When it’s spring rainbow snakes are at farmers.  Farmers have plows that roll on the rainbow snakes and crush them.  The farmers don’t even notice.
